The Pedoulas Byzantine Museum was established during the tenure of Morphou Bishop Neofytos in order to house icons of holy relics (13th – 20th century), and is situated near the church of Archangel Michael. The late Andreas Ellinas was the founder and generous sponsor of the Byzantine Museum. The Reverend Head Priest Charalambos Kourris also made an important contribution by collecting and safeguarding in the Holly Cross church the icons and other relics which are today exhibited in the Byzantine Museum. The Pedoulas Byzantine Museum was inaugurated in 1999 by the Mayor of Athens Demetris Avramopoulos.
