“Fig Tree Bay” beach in Protaras is the most popular beach in Paralimni, along with “Vrisi Beach”. It is 270 meters long and 45 meters wide. Fig Tree Bay was voted as the 6th best beach in Europe on TripAdvisor in 2015.
The beach has two natural bays; a northern sandy bay without vegetation and a southern rocky one. Also, a small islet with low vegetation is located within a short distance from the coastline. Easily reachable by swimmers, it is a pole of attraction for nature lovers and explorers. In addition, an ancient tomb of the Hellenic period is found beneath the coastal pedestrian street, which is visible through a glass floor, a part of the street itself.
Various facilities are offered such as sunbeds, umbrellas, restrooms, lifeguard supervision and water sports. The beach is accessibility for people with special needs.
