In the centre of Neo Chorio village, in Paphos Region, there is the Saint Minas church which is the main church of the community. It is a single chamber church built with Gothic style. The artfully decorated bell chamber was added afterwards.
In the inside the wood carved iconostasis stands out. The walls of the entire temple are covered with religious images. The prominent image of Saint Mina’s is on the right of the iconostatis and is a byzantine style image, displaying the Saint on his horse.
On the churches yard there is the monument of the three fallen of the Neo Chorio community, during the 1955-59 revolution against the English.
The community of Neo Chorio celebrates Saint Minas on the 11th of November. On this date lots of pilgrims arrive at the Church to celebrate the Saint’s memory and to offer their offerings.
